Lodging:

My fave go-to for traveling. Style Kat Pro nudge: chose "Entire Place". Treat yourself to a full experience rather than renting a room from a stranger. Traveling alone? Don't worry about it. You'll feel like a local and really embrace where you are visiting. I can't recommend this enough.
Style Kat Pro Tip: You may already do this but CHECK THE REVIEWS! It helps so much. I've only had fantastic experiences on Air Bnb, so I highly recommend their services.
One of three sites I use for hotels. Love that I can set the price and see what's out there, read the reviews and it's easy to cancel if needed.

Must Have Travel Books:
At least I know I travel and USE these every time!

The Godfather of Travel, Mr. Rick Steves. He is my ultra go-to. Always full of important information, unique walking tours, secrets and straight up what to do.
Perfect for the solo traveler.
P.S. I often grab my Rick Steves at my local thrift shop... :)

Markets of Paris, 2nd Edition: Food, Antiques, Crafts, Books, and More
Dixon Long & Majorie R. Williams
I truly couldn't recommend this go-to-trusty-always-in-my-luggage little nugget of a book. I had the pleasure of meeting Majorie at a book signing in NYC and now this book is a beloved book that shows me exactly where to go every time I am in Paris.
She is an Market expert and aficionado.
